“Holy Week in Puente Genil” permanent exhibition
The exhibition includes varied and cherished mementos donated by the Confraternities and Associations, as well as a sample of the characteristic features of this cultural and religious tradition that differentiate it from other Holy Weeks. There are different rooms based on concrete themes that set Puente Genil’s Holy Week apart, including a room that recreates the old manufacturing of rostrillos (ornament used in the past by women around the face and nowadays used for images of Holy Mary and other saints). Other rooms are dedicated to the Schola Cantorum, to the Viejas Cuaresmeras (the figure of an old woman), to the missing brothers and to the Holy Week Chiquita (a version of the Holy week represented by children).
